This stylish Perth Gypsy Jazz band are the latest wonder, recently forming and quickly establishing a high reputation amongst the Perth and WA music scene. The Major Swing Project explores a modern variant of the 1930s Manouche inspired gypsy sound, with the music being heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France, as well as the traditional jazz and folk music of Edith Piaf with a European gypsy flavour. Essentially the music becomes sculpture.
